Using the Home PAC for garden Monitoring and Control.

A modern garden is more that just filled with flowers and trees, it will have lighting to illuminate the garden by night, proviences for WIFI, phone, irrigation and when you have a pool it will also have a water management system and pool illumination. Moreover the garden is the place to install the outside temperature sensor, light sensor, rain detector and maybe even a weather station. All these systems all can be connected to the Home PAC.

As every garden is different, we provide bespoke systems designed for every individual project.

GARDEN IRRIGATION

Generally gardens can be broken down into three sections: lawn, bedding areas and pots/baskets/planters.

Pop-up sprinklers are used to water lawn areas. These are usually situated in the lawn itself and arranged to overlap. This “head to head” watering ensures that the lawn receives an even amount of water, preventing the grass growing in a patchy fashion.

Although the bedding areas can also be serviced by sprinklers and pop-up sprinklers it is more usual to use micro-jet sprays. These are placed among the planting and provide very direct and economical watering. The jets have a range of up to 3m, can be moved as the planting thickens and are generally hidden from view. Bedding areas may also be watered by dripline, a pipe with pressure compensated emitters delivering uniform coverage.

Pots, baskets and planters are watered by bubblers on 6″ stakes. They have an adjustable range of between 0-30cm. The bubblers are efficient and small enough to easily be hidden.

Program

You can program the Home PAC to irrigate your garden automatically without or in combination with humidity and rain sensors. When you install sensors the program can automatically monitor and control the irrigation of your garden. Specific needs of plants for more or less water can be indicated per sprinkler.

There are many themes when it comes to outdoor lighting. We can enhance certain key features, such as statues, beautiful trees and architectural features with uplighting. Steps and paths can be illuminated to carry your eye around the garden creating a calm space.

Electrical requirements
The irrigation systems require our electrician to provide power to the pump and controller, this involves running a power cable from the house or garage through the garden to where the storage tank is located. Also if the lawn is to be watered trench lines will be dug in the turf where the pop-up sprinklers are to run.

POOL AUTOMATION

Data from your pool management system can be trasferred to the Home PAC.

Pool illumination can be started, dimmed, and shut down automatically from any place using the Home PAC. In the garden you can use a Infra Red remote control, Indoor you can use the Home PAC touch screen, the internet or the Infra red remote control device to control the lights in and aroudn your pool. 

OUTDOOR SENSORS AND DETECTORS

The garden is the place to install external sensors. These sensors will be wireless to avoid the use of cables. All sensors work with 868 Mhz. and are connected by radio signal to the Home PAC 

WIFI

A modern garden has WIFI connectivity, wireless Internet when you want to work in yoru garden or want to relax with online music or games. The Home PAC system has so-called un-managed Internet switch that gets its current from the Internet cable rather than with an (additional) external powersupply. As the Home PAC is permanently connected to the Internet provisions an external Internet switch can be installed to provide multiple Internet connections. 

WEATHER STATION

A weather station can be used to collect data from various sensors and detectors such as windspeed, rainfal temperature, air humidity etc. This data can be transferred to the Home PAC and he Home PAC can display the data online or on your Home Screen.
